100 years of Danish Diplomatic Presence in China, Royal Hong Kong Yacht Club, 7 pm, June 2nd.

Former Ambassador to China, Christopher Bo Bramsen, will give us a presentation on Denmark’s relations with China during the past 100 years – including a discussion on diplomacy, commerce and culture. As president of Danes Worldwide, ambassador Bramsen will also address issues facing many Danes living abroad, and discuss how Danes Worldwide is treating with the Danish authorities in order toimprove expatriate  Danes’ right to vote, double nationality and Danish language training. Pub Evening, Every first Thursday in the Month in Dublin Jack

The pub evening is the ideal way to socialize with other Danes here in Hong Kong. We start at Dublin Jack in Lan Kwai Fong, Central at 7 pm and everybody is welcome. No registration needed. We look forward to seeing you. The Danish Chamber of Commerce provides a forum for Danish business which includes business related to Denmark or trading with Denmark related companies. Thus, the focus is on ties to Denmark rather than the nationalities of individuals. The Chamber’s objective is to identify, examine and discuss matters of common interest affecting economic, industrial and commercial issues and objectives as well as health matters. The Danish Chamber of Commerce further promotes Hong Kong and the Greater Pearl River Delta in Denmark and offers to facilitate exchanges between business entities in the respective areas. In addition, the Danish Chamber of Commerce acts as a link between its members and the Hong Kong Authorities, Health Institutions and in particular other Commercial Institutions in its aim to facilitate a good business environment for all concerned. It is also a very active participant in debate concerning the environment. Currently, the Danish Chamber of Commerce has no less than 56 corporate members representing medium and large business and 50 individual members representing small and medium enterprises. Together, they represent a workforce in excess of 10,000 men  and women.
